• What is Unfolding Retreats?

Unfolding Retreats is a wellness retreat company based in Cambridgeshire, UK, with plans to expand to France and beyond. Our retreats are designed to help you return to yourself through movement, rest, nourishing food, and connection with nature.

  • Where do the retreats take place?

Our first retreats are held in the beautiful countryside of Cambridgeshire, UK. Guests stay in cosy personal tipis set within nature. We are also opening a retreat location in France soon, with more destinations to follow.

  • What is included in a retreat?

Each retreat includes a carefully curated mix of practices such as yoga, Pilates, meditation, breathwork, sound baths, and guided barefoot walking. We also offer workshops (craft, foraging, and self-expression), nourishing communal meals, and access to hot tubs, saunas, and ice baths. Accommodation in personal tipis and all meals are included.

  • Who are the retreats for?

Our retreats are for anyone seeking time away from daily pressures — whether you want to rest, move your body, explore new practices, or reconnect with yourself. No prior experience in yoga, meditation, or wellness practices is needed. All are welcome.

  • How much does it cost?

Our inaugural Inception Retreat in October 2025 is available at a special founding price of £600 per person for two nights, in exchange for feedback to help shape future retreats. Standard retreat prices will vary depending on duration and location.

  • What should I bring with me?

We’ll provide tipis, bedding, mats, and equipment for activities. Guests should bring comfortable clothing for movement, warm layers for evenings, swimwear (for hot tub/ice bath/sauna), sturdy walking shoes, and any personal items they need for comfort. A full packing list will be provided upon booking.

  • What kind of food is served?

We serve wholesome, nourishing, plant-forward meals prepared with care. Expect communal feasts, seasonal harvest tables, and nourishing bowls. We cater for dietary requirements (vegan, gluten-free, allergies, etc.), just let us know when booking.

  • Do I need to have experience with yoga or meditation?

Not at all. Our sessions are designed for all levels, from complete beginners to those with an established practice. Our skilled facilitators will guide you gently, offering modifications and support.

  • Will there be alcohol or caffeine?

Our retreats focus on restoring balance in body and mind. We offer herbal teas, cacao ceremonies, and nourishing alternatives to stimulants where possible. We do not serve alcohol during the retreats.

  • How do I book?

You can book directly through our Bookings page, powered by Acuity Scheduling. Simply select your retreat date, complete the pre-event forms, and secure your place with payment. Spaces are limited so be sure to secure your spot efficiently.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

Full booking terms will be provided before payment. In general, deposits are non-refundable, but we will always do our best to accommodate changes where possible.

  • Are retreats suitable if I’m coming alone?

Absolutely. Many guests attend retreats solo; it is a beautiful way to connect with like-minded people in a supportive environment. You’ll also have plenty of personal time for reflection.

  • Will photos or videos be taken during the retreat?

Yes, with care. We sometimes capture photos, video, or testimonials to share the essence of the retreat. Guests will be asked to sign a media consent form on arrival, and we always respect those who prefer not to be included.

  • What makes Unfolding Retreats different?

Unlike some mainstream retreats, Unfolding Retreats offers an intimate, immersive, and heart-led experience. We bring together movement, ritual, nature connection, and nourishment in a way that feels soulful and grounding.

  • How do I stay updated on future retreats?

You can drop us a message so we can hold onto your details via the website - you’ll be the first to hear about new retreat dates in Cambridgeshire, France, and beyond.
